Denville man sues over loss of flags signed by golf star Tiger Woods

A Denville golf memorabilia dealer is suing one of the nation's largest sports card
companies, saying it lost six pin cup flags used at past Masters golf tournaments that he mailed to the firm to get autographed by Tiger Woods.

Robert Zafian, co-owner of Green Jacket Auctions, in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Morristown, he mailed six flags used at previous Masters tournaments on Feb. 28 to the Upper Deck Company, which was supposed to get the flags signed by PGA superstar Tiger Woods.

he's gotten flags signed by the California-based company before and still has an account with them.

He's suing the company for $40,000, claiming gross negligence was involved in losing his product, according to his Howell-based attorney Philip D. Tobolsky.
